Last Sunday, we said good-bye to our friends and drove a couple hours north to High Falls State Park Campground. We set up, packed up, unhooked, then left the trailer there while we drove to drop off Poppa Fox at a Rover sitter and then to the Atlanta Airport. We planned the timing just right and got there, parked, went through security and still had time for dinner. The airport was pretty busy with lots of people leaving from the Masters Golf Tournament, which was playing on all the TVs. Everyone was dressed up in golfing outfits, which was cute. It was a long day, but thankfully the non-stop flight to Dallas, TX was fairly quick and smooth.

We went to Dallas to attend the Investor Fuel Live Conference with intentions to meet potential Property Teams for RealWealth. The conference was held at the Gaylord Texan Hotel, which was a stunningly beautiful event center. We were pleasantly surprised at the indoor/outdoor landscape, which reminded us of various casinos in Vegas. This place had huge fountains, a running creek, waterfalls, many trees, flowers, a bull, and an adorable train set.

We met a lot of great people, including some potential Property Teams. We got to have lunch with a couple from Phoenix, AZ who have a business wholesaling and flipping and owning/managing short-term rentals.
In between networking we attended many of the educational training sessions. A few takeaways we had were to review sales pipelines for leaks and that inbound leads are better than outbound leads.
Over the past month or so we have been vetting a prospective Property Team in Columbus, GA, and the owner of that company was here at this conference. It was great to meet with him and hear him speak in advance of our site visit with him in Columbus, GA next week.
There were networking dinners both nights. The first night was at Hop & Sting Brewery. We forgot to get pictures of the networking, but we grabbed one on the outside of the artistic mural.

The next day, a group of us had lunch together at the Cantina. We sat next to some cool people who were doing interesting types of deals, such as land flipping, motel to apartment conversions and national foreclosure buying. We got Mexican food twice that day (which we don’t mind!) because the dinner was also at a Mexican restaurant.

The conference ended midday on Wednesday. After a bit of work and rest, we took advantage of the nice weather outside and decided to walk to dinner just under 2 miles away. We thought is was funny that the sidewalk ended and the walkway was just grass.

On Thursday we flew back to Atlanta, picked up Poppa Fox then drove to the campground. The next blog post will share our chill weekend recovering from the whirlwind.
Looked like a great time! You can definitely never have too much Mexican food. It’s the best 😋
